"Firstly it is very important to point out that you should not use this guide alone to try and study for the Windows 7 Desktop Support Technician 70-685 exam. What I have designed this book for is to give people an idea of what the course covers, which is especially useful if you have never done a Microsoft course or exam before. This will hopefully give you a feel of what it could be like before you go ahead with the expense (and lets face it they are not cheap) and time of studying the full course.
There are 5 key areas which the main course and exam covers which are all based around identifying and resolving issues with desktop applications, networking, performance, mobile and wireless, and last but no means least Security. This book will give you a sample of the first two of desktop application issues and networking issues.
Each unit gives a few key examples of what I feel you need to know and of course you will learn far more about them if you decide to proceed in going ahead for the full course.
