Learning Notes is one of the user guides in the Learning iOS Accessibility for iPad Series — 6th Edition, and focuses on the Notes app, a built-in application provided on most iOS platforms and as part of Mac OSX.

The app functions very much like a standard paper notepad.

The OSX version is like the iPad version, except for an additional close button in the upper left corner.

Unlike the OSX version, notes on the iPad cannot be arranged into folders, nor is there is provision for embedded images within notes.

The basic features of the Notes app include:

• View a note from the list of notes
• Add or delete a note
• Edit a note
• Email, print, or copy a note
• View previous or next note
• Use iCloud to keep notes up to date on all iOS and OSX devices
• Choose a default account for new notes
• Create a note in a specific account
• See only notes in a specific account
• Delete a note while viewing the list of notes
